Madame Baché - A woman before her time

Ella Baché was created by Madame Baché in Paris in 1936. Madame Baché was a revolutionary cosmetic chemist. Whilst her competitors created products and then simplistically categorised women according to how they fitted with the product - dry, oily and normal skin, Madame Baché reversed the process and started with the skin.

Madame Baché believed just as we are genetically different, the same holds true of our skin. Her skincare philosophy was based on the belief that “because no two skins are alike”, each client is a unique individual.

Madame Baché’s scientific understanding of the skin’s function, coupled with a great sense of passion and creativity led her to explore the individual benefits of many natural ingredients.

Madame Baché was one of the first to include ingredients such as tomato extract, vitamin C, nutrient rich algae and lanolin in her products. Each Ella Baché product was lovingly and time stakingly created and prized - they were “her children”.

It is the unyielding passion of this extraordinary woman, above all, that laid the foundations and guaranteed the enduring international success of the Ella Baché brand. The principles and commitment forged in the early days are just as fundamental to Ella Baché today as they were back in Paris in the 1930’s.

Ella Baché is a unique Australian skincare company with products and services available in over 160 independently owned and operated salons, as well as in 35 David Jones stores. Within these stores every employee is a trained Ella Baché Skincare Therapist.
