5 Minutes With Laura Adamson - Ella Baché College Alumni

Ella Baché College Alumni sat down with Laura Adamson on her college days and what she has planned for the future!

What made you choose beauty therapy?

Beauty Therapy is something I have wanted to do since I could talk; I love every aspect of beauty and being able to make people feel good about themselves. I have a real passion to help people with their skin and to educate them about skin health and the science behind it!

What made you choose Ella Baché College?

I have always wanted to work for a reputable brand and within an Australian company. I wanted to learn somewhere where I knew had high standards and high levels of teaching. I loved that I was able to work with such influential people that had a real passion for the brand.

Where would you like this career to take you?

I would like to be able to become the best possible therapist I can be, whilst progressing towards management, education and more responsibilities behind the scenes. To have these experiences behind me I feel as though I could then be a fantastic salon owner.

Do you think this career is different than any other? Why?

Yes, I do believe it is quite unique in its’ own right. To be able to communicate and connect but also offer clients a tremendous amount of nurturing care that will create such a positive rapport with clients, is such a powerful thing. Our job everyday is to make people feel good about themselves and to be a leader in that is something I am very proud of.

What did / do you enjoy most about the course? Why?

The trainers were a helpful guidance and offered us the best possible resources to begin my journey as a beauty therapist. The course was really hands on, it helped me grow and start off as a confident therapist, and it really prepared me for when I stepped through the doors of a salon. The college always had a great feel about it and I was always so happy to be going there. I loved every bit of my time whilst I was there!

Why would you recommend the college to family and friends?

I wouldn't want to learn anywhere else, I learnt so much from the trainers who had a lot of knowledge to share. They really cared about your progress and wanted you to be the best you could be. The course covers a wide range of subjects that helps with your every day skills.

What did / do you think of the day in life of a student?

It was a positive experience that helped me become the professional that I am now. The college has a great environment that with the right attitude allows students to be incredibly successful in their career.

Have you made friends for life during your course?

Yes I have. Working in a big group so close to each other you do form a bond and become great friends, as everyone there has the same interest as you.

Why do you think it is important to commit to your studies?

Committing to your studies is so vital to me because I am a big believer in knowledge is power. The more knowledge that you can take from college, the more you will prosper in your career and become a diverse therapist.

What advice could you give future students?

Don't be afraid, have confidence and really enjoy your time there. You will miss it! Don't be afraid to tackle challenges. You will surprise yourself with what you are capable of when you truly have a passion for what you do!
