What are your course entry requirements?

No ATAR? No problem. There are no academic entry requirements for the Diploma of Beauty Therapy. To enrol in the Graduate Certificate in Intense Pulsed Light and Laser Hair Reduction, applicants will need to meet some entry requirements - please refer to the course information page here.

Do you help students find employment?

As the only Skin & Beauty College in Australia owned by an iconic skincare brand, we have a dedicated success and careers coach who will help you connect with our 150 Ella Baché Salons nationally. This includes helping you find on-the-job placements and employment opportunities upon graduation.

Where do you offer On-Campus study?

We currently only offer On-Campus study in Sydney, NSW for all our courses. Students in other states can apply to study through our Online EdFlex™ delivery mode. Find out more here.

Do you offer tuition fee support?

Yes. We’re VET Student Loans Approved for the SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy. The VET Student Loans program assists eligible students enrolled in approved courses to pay their tuition fees (the loan is capped at $10,150). We offer interest-free payment plans so you can pay your co-payment (gap payment) off in instalments that suit your budget. In addition, we also accept payment through Study Loans. Do you offer a pathway to University?

When you study with Ella Bache College, we’ll open up many possible future routes for you into higher education. Our academic pathway opportunity with Victoria University provides graduates of the SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy, who complete the Electrolysis/Diathermy elective stream, to receive 8 subjects of credit, which is equivalent to the first year of the 4-year Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapies) degree. Graduates of the Diploma who meet the University entry requirements will be offered a place and can enter the program at the start of the second year.

Are there flexible timetables?

Our Online EdFlex™ learning module allows you to study online where you can, when you can. Our friendly support staff are here to help you achieve your goals from start to finish. We also offer a choice of day-time classes for On-Campus study. Plus, you’ll get direct and personalised access to our industry-experienced lecturers and learning facilitators, through small class sizes and valuable one-to-one interactions, regardless of whether you study online or on-campus.

Can I gain industry experience?

Throughout your studies, you’ll have access to on-the-job opportunities ensuring that you'll gain valuable client exposure. This ranges from client bookings, skin diagnosis, retailing, in-store promotions, salon team work and even some salon management skills. You are required to complete 150 hours of external on-the-job training in an approved commercial salon and will receive the Ella Baché certificate of completion of work experience to add to your resume.

Does the course include Makeup?

Yes, we offer a make-up module as part of our core 13 units in your first trimester on campus in Sydney and online. You will learn from the best beauty educators in industry using leading technology and products including Ella Baché.

Do Ella Baché students get discounts on products?

Yes, students receive a 35% off RRP on Ella Baché products. Students also attend new product launches and other brand promotional events.

Do you recognise prior learning?

Yes, Ella Baché College recognises Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications and/or Statement of Attainment issued by any other recognised training organisation.
