This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to identify and eliminate health and safety risks and hazards associated with the use of intense pulsed light and lasers used in beauty and dermal therapy clinical environments. You will learn about the key aspects of current legislation, regulation, industry standards and guidelines. You will also learn important underpinning knowledge about the physics of light and operational characteristics of laser and IPL devices. At the end of the course, you will be confident to develop, implement and maintain safe practices when working with non-ionising radiation sources.
8 weeks. Approximately 4 hours per week.

Access to a clinical workplace with a class 4 laser OR Intense Pulsed Light device.
