5 Steps To The Best Fake Tan Ever

PSA: Sun tanning is out, and sunless tanning is in.

It’s time to get your glow on this summer season with our Ella BachéGreat Tan and Ella Baché Great Face Tan. A range formulated with a blend of Cocoa Butter, Lanolin and Vitamin E designed to prevent moisture loss in the complexion for up to 72 hours, whilst alluding to a 6-week European vacay.

THE FIVE STEP GLOW UP

Step 1. Preparation is key

Skin preparation can be the make or break of your tan, so here’s how to make it work for you. Allow at least 24 hours prior to your tan application for hair removal and exfoliation, ensuring you leave time for your skin to recover.Next you will want to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells, so the tan does not settle into dry patches. We highly recommend purchasing our Great Tanning Mitt to create a streak free application.

Step 2. Preparation pt. two

On the evening of your glow up, we recommend a shower to remove any oil and dirt on the body, and a quick once-over shave that will help the tan to sit effortlessly on the skin. After your shower, apply your daily moisture protective to the drier areas of your body, such as the ankles, knees, elbows, and palms.

Step 3. Time to glow up

Time for the fun part! Squeeze a small amount of the Ella Bache Great Tanonto your Great Tanning Mittand apply to the skin in circular motions.

Therapist tip: You can always add more, you cannot always take away. Use the remaining product to sparingly cover the ankles, knees, elbows, and palms. Allow the tan to set on your body for 30 minutes before getting dressed. For a lighter tan, leave on for 2 hours, for medium coverage leave for 4 hours, and for a dark tan leave on for 6 hours before showering.

Step 4. Re-fresh

After letting your tan sit, rinse off in a warm shower. Use your hands to guide tan off your body and rinse until the water runs clear, gently patdry the skin with a towel.

Step 5. After care

Use our Water Source Moisturising Body Creamto rehydrate the skin, ensuring your tan is locked in. Therapist tip: Your skin is like a sponge, be sure to keep hydrated and drink plenty of water, this creating longevity in the tan.
